I know it's usually part of the sunroof package (which I assume isn't available at all, thank god, with the aluminum roof), but what about just the leather package? I figure if we can't have the real MR seats, we may as well have black leather as an option like a regular evo...

 

They will not. No options at all on the MR.

 

Gotta say, I'm pretty disappointed it's nothing more than floor mats and some trim rings (and the six speed shifter, of course) on the interior. Probably being done to keep costs down. The black recaros would have been real nice touch.

 

I have seen the stock leather that the 04's come with, and it's not that great. It's more of a charcoal grey colored leather. My fiance has her recaros done with leather but done aftermarket. It looks awesome in black. don't get the leather unless you do it aftermarket.

The only down side to the aftermarket leather, is that it will not hold you in your seat nearly as well as the stock seats.....espescially while going around corners.

It was only $1000 and they did the seats, the doors, and the top of the middle console. It was well worth it, the stock leather is kind of ugly.

you don't deserve an MR just for asking about this.

 

give me a break dude what do you need to do in order to "deserve" the MR? if the guy wants leather seats than it is his choice. nobody asked you to get leather so please don't start with the "you do not deserve the MR". nobody "deserves" the MR, it is a regular car that any person off the street can buy. you do not have to be a special person to own an MR much like you do not have to be a special person to buy the Maclaren F1.

it dilutes the image of the MR as a purpose built sports car... unless you just think it's an evo with a 6 speed
I was at the dealer today and some sales manager was telling me that he was getting one and was going to put the HKS turbo on and a big system and make it a show car... I told him it was a waste of a good MR.

 

i agree with you but that doesn't mean that he doesn't deserve the MR simply for the fact that nobody deserves the car. if a guy want to buy the car and rice it out with APC crap, neons and other assorted rice than it is still his choice.

 

mr is not what the united states market is getting. we are getting the mr edition, a package much like sun, sound leather package. unlike that package, we won't be getting much with the mr edition package, you all know by now, new rims, new 6 speed but not blacked out headlights or anything that the usa wants.
