I'd guess he's keeping both. Losses to depreciation on an '05 STi would be something vicious.

Not sure yet. If I find a buyer for it before the MR comes in (ETA Sept. 25) I will sell.
Its only got 450 miles, and is hardly driven. Its in perfect condition - STOCK and if I don't find a buyer - I will possibly trade it in if I don't lose a ton of money. I hate to do it, but I want the MR so bad!!!!!

dude, i'm all about the MR (i'm getting one myself) but don't sell your sti. you'll lose your a$$ on the deal if you do. the '05 sti is a great car...very comparable and in some ways superior to the MR.

My inside sources tell me that the msrp will be $34,999. I guess we will all just have to wait and see.

I totally agree with you... Just take it for what it is. If I say who my source is, people will speculate on that source. So it doesn't really matter until we see official pricing. I just wanted to throw another number out there because I truly believe that the $33,050 is not going to be the msrp.

What about the Evo do you like that the STI doesn't provide?

I don't own an STI but I test drove one and owned a WRX with a done up suspension. The EVO has a feeling of balance, precision, and go-kartishness that the WRX could never hope to match. I spent 2-3k on my WRX's suspension and a stock Evo's handling put my car to shame, shame I say.

Well, no pricing yet. Hasn't been released.

However, I did find out that my baby was born on August 20th (this past Friday) and will arrive at the dealer NO LATER than October 2nd.

So that 3rd week of September is sounding pretty dead on.

Its difficult to say since I have not driven an EVO.

Initially I liked the styling of the STI better and the interior was much nicer. The look of the EVO has grown on me and now I prefer the look of the EVO compaired to the STI.
And other stupid things like - I bought the World Rally Blue with Gold and there must be 4 other guys around here with the same combo, and every car show I go to its blue / gold STI!! -- I have seen only one EVO, a silver one.
The MR will hopefully be more limited and especially with the Carbon Gray - I want to be the only one around!

As far as the performance - I can't really say - but there is not much I don't like about the STI.
