Alternate spoiler?

I am ordering a new MR, but the large spoiler doesn't really fit my style. I was wondering if there are good sites for a much smaller spoiler and if they could be exchanged seemlessly?

buy an aftermarket one and have it put on...they will fill the old holes and make new ones...I guess. The large spoiler is actually there for a reason though.

You can use the spoiler off of a lancer. I have the small spoiler on my evo and love it. No attention from the law.

The vortex generator is a waste without the wing. Might as well sell that too

Anything other than speculation to back this up? Mitsu's wind tunnel tests? At-speed comparisons? Anything?

Just read any of the Magazine test's done with the Rs vs reg VIII. I think it's in Car and Driver. Slalom was faster and 1/4 mph was also faster. As well as any of the reviews from on track testing all have said the wing help's with stability in higher speeds.

while i believe the stability at higher speeds part (to some degree), the slalom speed and 1/4 mile mph were certainly due to the lesser weight of the rs and not to the lack of a wing. in fact, i'm pretty confident an rs with a wing would post similar numbers. i would like to see cd figures for the wing vs. no wing and i would bet the no wing is much more aerodynamic.

you may be right, but there is a real effect at speeds over eighty. so if that does not matter to you then you know what to do.

the wing may indeed add drag but it does hold the rear end down.

You guys need to run a search. The info is on this forum. It does provide a significant amount of downforce over 80 MPH or so. I took my wing off and it is definitely a lot more squirrelly at 150. I put it back on. It feels very planted at speed with it on. The faster you go, the more it works.

I know this is a long shot, but would it be possible to make the spoiler removable in the sense you could take it on and off? A friend told me he once saw an aftermarket spoiler was like that.
