I think it's funny when people say, Oh yeah, I got plenty of money, blah blah. I'll pay whatever it costs, no problem. Haha.

There are probably a ton of people on this board with enough money to buy 10 MR's. But that doesn't mean they are going to buy even one at a jacked up "bad deal" price. A bad business decision is nothing more than that.

02 Mcoupe...

Regardless, I have a refundable deposit down on the MR...They are not technically building me my own MR. Basically I told them Gray Evo MR edition...I think they put in a order for 2 of them or something. I have yet to sign anything, so in the instance that the MSRP or price they want is to high(REALLY HIGH) I will take my deposit and leave. Remember there isnt actually a official list for the MR's. There was never a wait list, it was just people that came to the dealership and threw down 500-1000$ on a car that the dealers had no clue about.

On the matter of the Mcoupe, if they wont give me atleast 30,000 for it I have a private buyer who wants it soooo. That works to...

Another thing is SOME of you people are so wound up with these rumors that its gonna be a $37,000 car and I personally think its all bull****. Then again everyone said I was full of **** when I said th MR will come here. This was when it was just released in Japan.

You need to chill. Your on edge, go get laid...NOW!

Hey dude, don't get uppity. My best friend is picking up his MR in a few weeks. But he is not paying out the *** for one. I never said it was going to be 37 in fact, didn't YOU say it would def. be no more than 37? Heh. Anyways, dealing with Internet badasses has nothing to do with getting laid. I guess it does to you. but whatever, no hard feelings to you.

Am I the only person who finds it absolutely RIDICULOUS that this car does not come with Cruise Control? Granted most of the car's purpose is for autoxing and rallying, etc...but who wouldn't want cruise control to get TO the event.

So ridiculous. What would it add 1 lb to the car? If that? It is almost 2005. Every car should come with cruise control and probably even the object sensing speed control versions you see on all luxury cars today.

Probably just keeping the cost down. There is more than the wires and buttons. Don't forget about labor. It probably adds a significant amount over the course of 5, 10, 15 thousand cars. Mitsu isn't rolling in the cash, you know?

let me let you in on a little secret, no not victoria's....

Dealers WILL sell a car out from below your feet, it you don't have it in writing guess what if I came along and offered them $XXXX more, you'd be number two on the list. Mark my words I've seen it happen to www.carsdirect.com buyers, and i've even seen it happen to Numi employees in cali... they reserve the right to sell the car to who they want depending on quanity on hand.. just becasue you are on the waitlist doesn't mean they are held liable to sell you the first car they get... I'm lord knows what on the elise list all I know is its a 1-1.5 year wait now because it took us 8 months to make up our minds, oh well

Good luck I hope you do get the car when they said you would, and i'd love to see pictures of it as well as your review of it, I too have been waiting to see the MR in the states

Oh yeah. Well, my friend Simone told me this:

"Um, it's sick. My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who saw the general manager at Executive Mitsubishi pass out at 31 Flavours last night when he heard the price from the Northeast Regional Sales Representative. I guess it's pretty expensive."

Just an FYI for those that are interested in the price of the Evo MR BBS rims. I went to a Mitsu dealer in CHicago today and they can order them at $836/each.
