E-ACD vs. ACD?
E-ACD vs. ACD?
Anyone notice that the USDM 05's have E-ACD? AFAIK, the current ACD system is a hydraulic one that uses electronic control to adjust the pressure and consequently the clutches in the ACD. Perhaps E-ACD is a lower maintenance system that works electrically instead of hydraulically? If so, I wonder how it performs in comparison..

The E-ACD system in the USDM '05 is hydraulic. AFAIK, it looks like mechanically it is the same as the JDM RS. (The Evo 8 RS does not have AYC, only ACD) Of course, we don't have all of the weight savings with the regular USDM Evo.
