UTEC for '04 Evo

Hey guys I'm getting the UTEC system installed in my '04 Evo tomorrow by a friend thats had it on his '03.. only reason he says he's getting rid of it is b/c of the P0300 misfire code.. since the '04 had that code taken care of i'm looking forward to having it in my car. i'm going to run it on my laptop while in the car and everything.. i was just wondering if there is anything i should be cautious about? i've read the manual twice so I know what im getting myself into.. also my buddy who's had the system in his car is going to help me out and teach me about the more in depth material and thursday we're getting dynoed. any and all tips and info would be greatly appreciated!

Well, just make sure you log alot of data with the UTEC in the 0 (Map 0) position passthrough.. Basically the 03 and 04's are pretty much the same..

I don't get the P0300 code on my car, typically thats due to something in the drivetrain causing a bit of an issue with the ECU, has nothing to do with the UTEC, but since the UTEC passes signals through, there's possibly some signal loss to the ECU for signals that are passed through and not regenerated.
