I have just been checking out the new GUI software, looks good.

Anyone had any thoughts on enabling the user to set AFR maps instead of fuel maps? Like the autronic does? you set a AFR value instead of a fuel value.

Dont know if ive explained that very well.

I think he may be referring to the UCC3 Gui..

Anyway, I'd like to see the UTEC offer "AFR Target automapping" if your running the UTEC and TUNER combo, however something like that is fairly complex..

Its possible to write or modify a program to do this in software like UCC3 but every car works a little differently, so mapping AFR targets requires an 'active' approach to hitting the AFR and mapping it..

The correct way to do it is a "closed loop" approach where the fuel is increased or decreased and the AFR's are monitored and then mapped when target is hit. I don't know that could be done in the UTEC's hardware, its logging features are great, however you cannot alter maps or parameters on the fly without coming to a stop, writing the new map and continuing..


Time will tell though..

 

AFR tuning would be kickass. I can then sell half of my brain and buy some more mods

I was indeed refering to the UCC3 software, sorry for being very vague.

Yes i would love AFR Target mapping that is similar to the Autronic, does anyone see this being do able in the very near future? as we are down here in australia trying to push this as a new product.
