Yes, It will work.. it takes a bit of fiddling to get the curve right..
you can also use the setup I'm using from www.pro-flow.com its a true blowthrough setup and they can integrate it into your upper intercooler pipe, or sell you a complete kit.
I made my setup plug and play by casting a MAF connector off the MAF sensor..
the MAF Translator kit, doesn't work the same way as the Pro-Flow setup though, the pro-flow setup actually compensates the MAF airflow with air intake temp just like the OE MAF sensor does. It also has a 1bar sensor built into its karmann converter box. I have been driving it for the past few days, today in 9 degree weather, and had no idle issues whatsoever (In fact although it idles rich, its smoother than the OE MAF was)
Give proflow a call if you haven't already purchased the Ramcharger's kit and ask them your questions.
Just so you are aware, a blowthrough MAF sensor has a few minor quirks, they don't affect drivability but you should be aware of it, since there's a lag in the airflow when you hit the gas, you'll have to tune the car a little differently to compensate for it.

Here's my setup..
I have since replaced that upper intercooler pipe with my Buschur short routed pipe with the sensor integrated into it by ProFlow.. I also discovered that when Ultimate Racing shipped me their blowthrough setup, the Air temp sensor was in the blowthrough PIPE, BIG MISTAKE, it caused all sorts of problems, I relocated the temp sensor where it belongs, in the intake pipe. i'll post an update in that thread this weekend when I take new photos.
Some of the guys who were at the Northeast meet this past weekend had the chance to see the entire setup firsthand with the Buschur pipe, and OBSCENELY LOUD HKS SSQV (its gonna be history soon.. LOL)
