Closed loop Boost Map

I just ordered a TXS Map sensor.
I'm looking at going to closed loop boost. Anybody have an example map? Since the values go from 0-100% (duty cycle) to 300-500 (gain), I'd like to have a bas to work off of.

I guess it's not very possible to have a base map for close loop boost map. I learn it from MalibuJack

The solenoid works bestat around 75-80% duty cycle, so you might want to set your open loop boost map at around 75%, then slowly adjust your ABC to your desired boost level. Once it is stable at your desired boost level, you can turn on your close loop boost mode, and start with a close loop boost map of around 200. Raise the number until you reach your boost target. I guess you might end up with a number close to 375-400 in your boost map.

Give it a try and let us know how it worked out.

That sounds like a familiar bit of advice..

FWIW I think at 75% duty, you can open the ABC about 2 turns and get about 19psi boost, my car was a little different, I had alot more trouble getting stable boost than most of you guys but in my case I was battling a leaky DV at the time.

You may want to start with about 300 in the boost map with the ABC about 2 turns out. This will give you a good place to start. Once you start adjusting it should take about 20 points to go up 1 to 1.5 psi.

Thanks,

Jermaine~

Right now in open, I have 75%, with ABC set 1 1/2 turns out. Holds 19psi to redline.
By the way...I love this UTEC!

I am now wondering how the Map-0 work when we tuned with close loop boost. Now we have numbers at around 400 in the boost map, plus the bleeder valve opened a couple turns... Does it mean Map 0 now will over boost like crazy?

What about valet mode (map-6)?

It depends on YOUR settings.. It will probably spike to 22psi if you set your upper limit to 21-23psi and worked from that point..

Remember the factory boost control keeps the solenoid open only for a very short period of time, then it closes it and it tapers to the low point..

Map -0 Will run the boost map that you have install in map 1. Yes you will need larger numbers than with open loop boost control.

Thanks,

I don't know, but it is not the case on my car. I have a very nice and stable boost on my Map1, but with Map0, I am over boosting like crazy.

I am running close loop boost with ABC valve 2 turns opened.
In order to log factory timing, it is impossible to use Map 0. Instead, I had to use my own close-loop boost map, with all timing sites set to "ECU".

With car all modified map0 pretty much becomes useless. On map-0 my car runs super lean, I'd be scared to run it like that for too long and boost spikes to 25psi and then tapers to like 13
IMHO, map-0 is really just to learn things when you car is stock. You set it to map-0 and log a bit to get yourself familiar with the interface and menus.
