Injector question
Hey guys got a question. I'm currently running 20psi and I was doing 3rd gear pulls tonight trying to tweak it. I have an alarm set up to go off at 90% duty cycle. I find that I hit the 90% duty cycle just at or around 6950rpms. Now the thing is I use to run 22psi before I got my UTEC so I'm wondering if this is ok that I'm at this high of a duty cycle since I'm still on the stock injectors? My boost map is at 73% from 3k all the way to 7K. Was wondering if you guys think I'll be ok to bump it up to 22psi again or what?
On a side note.. what are you guys hitting duty cycle wise with your stock injectors? I'm thinkin of going to 880cc injectors so I don't have to worry about them for a LONG time. any opinions/thoughts?

Well my opinion is that the lower 90s are too high for me. I am currently running 700cc injectors, and haven't hit the lower 80s yet. In WOT full boost, I usually hit anywhere between 75 and 79 duty. If you go with 880cc injectors, I think you will have a tough time tuning for idle. Just my .02 In my maps, I adjusted the fuel to compensate for the larger injectors. I didn't mess with the scaling at all. Good luck on your venture.

i figure i might as well and that way don't have to worry about the injectors for a long time especially when i upgrade the fuel system
so you didn't touch the scaling for the injectors, just simply added more fuel and make the computer think that its still working with the stock injectors?
Yes, you are correct. I have my injectors set at 550/550, and adjusted the fuel to get my afrs in order. The only issue is for o/l fueling. The UTEC's fuel map only adjusts fuel past the % when set in o/l. In all actuality, the idle fuel adjustments are only made by the scaling, if I remember correctly. I am sure someone else will chime in on my accuracy, or lack of.

I'm planning on having a shop tune my UTEC with my mods and I'm going to put the 880cc's on right before I go up and do it.. any suggestions about that? I've got a Zeitrox system system to tweak and calibrate the A/F ratio deal... i just need any and all opinions on the fact that I'm running 880cc now.. some friends have told me i'll be slow as hell for using them???

well guy down here in florida is running 880cc injectors on his GT35R turbo set up and my buddy chris in Ohio with his AMS sponsored evo runs 1000CC's in his GT35R turbo set up.. difference is that the evo in florida is puttin 315tq and 385hp while chris is doing 660hp and **** load of torque
big difference is that the Evo in florida is stock internals except for 272 cams and arp head studs while chris's evo is completely built
