Bung location

I'm planning out bung installs for a (Tuner w/ Bosch) wide band 0s sensor AND a bung for an EGT sensor.

How about some informed opinions on the best locations for both. When referring to side locations please use driver or passenger side to describe which one you are referring to. (American Drive of course)

Any help greatly appreciated
Dean

Thats pretty correct.. you want the O2 sensor in the downpipe, Mine is about 6-8" from the elbow of the downpipe near the oil pan.. Some people put it further back since the slightly cooler temperature may let it live longer. The EGT bung, you can put it after the turbo, or before.. The best place to put it is in the #1 or #2 runner of your exhaust manifold, I would generally recommend putting it in the runner furthest from the fuel rail's feed from the fuel system since if your going to have a lean condition and high EGT's, it'll usually be seen the furthest from the fuel feed first.

My EGT went in cyl 2.....if you have a test pipe, can you temporarily place the o2 where the second o2 sensor goes?

You can, but the further away from the turbo you go, the chance you could get leaner readings, and the O2 sensor errors for heat range issues.

I installed mine in basically the same location as Jack, but just a tad closer to the flange that joins the d/p and t/p or cat.
