Some very high HP EVOs in Europe and Asia are running the PFC (RC Developments in England 900+ bhp EVO as an example). I have an idea of how, but I'm not sure so I won't speculate, but it is obviously very possible.

Edit to add it looks like about 700 whp on their DD (820 bhp=624 whp on the DD). Also, they ran a 10.2 at 143 with the PFC.

Actually, on my TME, with PFC DJ i'm doing 541 whp without problems ( 2.3 stroker engine, with GT35R 0.82 AR, 1200 cc injectors, Magnus inatke manifold, and all usual mods ) and i still have something to find out with fine tuning, maybe 15/20 whp, Apexi did a very easy ecu to map, especially with datalogit. Concerning boost limit, the unit that comes with the harness kit can handle about 37 psi without problem, the problem is in the AVCR if you use it, its sensor becomes inaccurate starting from 22/23 psi, but you can easily solve the problem replacing it with another PFC sensor, or the one you prefer.

wouldnt u almost want to use just a gate spring only when you are using such high levels?
it wold make more sense instead of an electronic valve

Maybe a simple spring is a good solution, but with the electronic valve, since i changed the original AVCR sensor map with another one from PFC, i have had no problems at all, and i have the advantage of 2 different boost settings, plus the one given mechanically from the waste gate spring, in my case about 18 psi. It's a good option, especially driving on the road when big power is not needed.
Only thing i would desire from pfc actually not available is a launch control system, for transmission safety, but except this i think it's a good system for a road car.

We've made well over 600 whp on our dyno with the Power FC and run 40+ psi on it.

Yes, there are two versions of the Power FC. One that runs with the stock MAF and one that utilizes a MAP.

Yes, it is called the D-jetro version. Uses a temp sensor and map sensor, just like an AEM.

The MAP sensor is used for load. The air temp is used for other corrections.

550hp and 450 ft lbs on a Mustang dyno, tuned on 32 psi and E85.

T3/T67 BB, Power FC, 1600cc injectors, built 2.0, 272s.

Were using a 4 bar map sensor bought from RX7.com.
