MalibuJack, what software are you using to graph HP vs. RPM?
I know that I've seen posts by MalibuJack (and maybe TrinaBabe too) translating log information into a graphical HP curve by RPM. What software is that and where do you get it?
Thanks.
Thanks.
Yep..Data log lab.. www.dataloglab.com

Has anyone compared the accuracy of this software's WHP estimate to a real dyno? It thinks I'm making 350-360 whp from 6750 to 7300 rpm at 21 psi on 93 octane based on my best estimates of car weight and putting in temp/humidity. That'd be real nice if it's true!

FWIW, my Blitz PowerMeter reads peak whp of 350-355 and it read 325 under similar conditions before I got the UTEC and WR turbo. When I had Buschur Stage 2ish mods it was around 300 or a little under.
Once I get my tune more dialed in I'll take it to a real dyno and compare.
I'm running roughly the equivalent to a Buschur stage 4, but with stock cams, have the UTEC, DLI-II, and Blowthrough MAF, GM Boost solenoid.. 325 would be around what I'd expect for the car on pump gas, 380 just seems real high for my level of mods. (I have run some experiments with alternative fuels and a makeshift alky injection setup that significantly improved my output, but that was the exception and not my daily driven combination) I don't run very high boost, 22psi/21psi and I don't run a very lean AFR or aggressive timing.. I know my car runs good, but I doubt that good.
HOWEVER, the gains I make run to run are quantifiable with this software, so once you get your correction factor down from your favorite dyno shop, you can adjust the software accordingly so your numbers are closer.
The reason I do like using Dataloglab is simply because your tuning in the real world, and producing numbers under real load, so your tunes will be safer and repeatable on the street obviously.
Remember.. Logging logging logging.. While your tuning the car, and between tunes, you should log as much data under different conditions as possible.. you will learn how the variables affect the engine and car's performance, and will allow you to produce a smooth and consistent tune even at part throttle.
Ask anyone who has ridden in the car, the one thing everyone comments about is how much smoother than stock the car idles and runs..

Well, hopefully some others on here who have dynoed their cars can run their logs through this software and give some comparisons. With the 30-day free trial, there's no reason not try it for those who haven't. It took me about 30 minutes from the time I downloaded the software to figure it out enough to do the edyno graph.
No, but Utec control center (UCC 3.0) can... UCC does not do a running HP calc though.. I've been helping Donour out a bit, and he may have something that can do that at some point in the future (A version of pyXEDE)
I wrote a real-time digital dashboard app in VB specifically to do a realtime display of the data being saved to a log file..
