Data Log Lab...

Hey guys.. I've had some success using a product called Data Log Lab with the EvoScan logger.. Maybe you guys want to try this out with EvoScan's output, it just requires building a definition file (I haven't had too much time or luck doing it)

http://www.dataloglab.com/

I have used this software almost 3 years with the UTEC, and its FANTASTIC for visualizing useful information...

I invited the software's author to the forum to check out our new evolving tools, and his tool supports some ECU's natively and I'd like to see if he can add the ability to log directly from the OpenPort 1.3 cable..

Hey guys, I need some of you guys to attach here, or send me your EvoScan log files.. I need to create a definition for it and don't have enough variations in the data to get it set up.

Hmm, that dyno graph on the DLL page looks identical to the ecu+ dyno graph... I assume ECU+ has licensed DLL to use in it's gui??

I think they both share the same graphic component.. I think the nature of the type of data needed to do the calculations would cause them to look similar...

I actually use a Beltronics device for my "Dyno runs" so I don't use the ECU+ dyno tool often (or the DLL stuff simply because I don't have logs compatible with it at the moment) but in the past, the beltronics is very accurate, and ECU+ and DLL both do a good job and come close, at least its consistent enough to measure gains on the same car..

Sweet.. I just got some .7 and .8 logs from Evoscan.. .7 won't be able to be supported because it outputs hex data, but the .8 version definitely can be done.. I think I can come up with something that works by the weekend..

Interesting. I thought about getting this software with the UTEC but then the UCC4 came out and does something very similar.

UCC was more of a tuning tool.. More similar to ECUFlash.. This is a log analysis tool.. I always used both..

Ahh gotcha. Looks like a very nice program though.

EDIT: I just pulled up one of my old UTEC logs and looked at it thorugh using this software. Very nice. I wish I bit the bullet and started using this 2 years ago.

Here's the definition file I have so far.. I kinda lost my steam if someone wants to finish it up...

Theres a few issues because of the logging frequency can vary and how the timestamps are broken up (it should be one line of data broken up in minutes and seconds, the date portion isn't needed) It makes it difficult to calculate deltas..

Anyway, hopefully someone can run with this because I have to move onto something else.
