Calibration for Kavlico sensor

I searched through here a decent amount but cant seem to find a definitive answer. Does anyone have the calibration for the Kavlico (AEM) map sensor already done? I dont know how far the stock settings will be off and figured it someone already had it done for me it would save me some time. I finally just got my wiring stuff done so I will be using the Utec to read my boost instead of the Zietronix unit that i currently have (Stupid cap at 25.5psi). I guess I will finally learn if I am running at 30psi now for sure!

I will be hopefully getting the car prepped well for the shootout in Ohio in the next few days. I will be tuning it somewhat aggressively with C-16 at 30-35psi, fixing a small boost leak that I found when I get over 25ish psi, and installing a new twin-disk clutch. I will also finally clean out the car from alot of the crap in it (Im sure it has over 100lbs of junk in there). I am also going to try to get a decent ALS to work with the Utec based on the MAP load sites instead of the hertz way.. Maybe i can get it to hit 20+ psi on the launch consistantly I could do it before but it would be in spikes.. not actually hold it steady. I will also try to chat with some decent people running in the low nines and see if I can get some more help with some of the techniques. My guess is the car will be trapping at 130 and I damn well better hit a 10 at the shootout.

Go to www.aempower.com they have the calibration tables for all the sensors there.
Hope that helps.

Welp.. I didnt bother to look but the Utec uses its own calibration algorithm. It does not seem to be too accurate either Im sure it is damned close but compared to a very simple way of saying voltage to psi and figuring out the true gradient it uses its own way. It seems to work fine though.

I am still wondering what other peoples gradient and intercept are for thier AEM sensors.

Ill post mine which works fine so far (Hard to tell considering my BAD clutch slippage).

G = 240
I = 204

Oh well

M Jack you are using the GM Map sensor or the Kavlico? I am assuming since you didnt post your calibration it must be the GM Map sensor. I have always heard they work but are MUCH less accurate than the Kavlico. I know the Utec isnt very quick refresh so it probably doesnt matter anyways for this application but have you noticed anything about it?

Yeah, GM Sensor here.. Its actually pretty accurate if the calibration is right.. If I had the AEM sensor I would have posted a calibration for it. The big problem with accuracy seems to be the scaling, its only as accurate as the scale reference, so if your boosting to 30psi and had to calibrate it based on 0psi-15psi it seems to get thrown off a little.. if you calibrate it from engine vacuum -7 to -14psi through 20-25psi you should get it much closer to being accurate.

Basically all the calibration does is relate a digital value to a gauge value, so its only as accurate as your measurements.
