I mounted mine in the cubby below the HVAC controls. I was reluctant to mount it there because I used the cubby a lot to keep my parking pass for work. Now I have to open and close the center console 4 times a day, but it's worth it. Having the SAFC down in the cubby is kind of hidden which is also the reason why I got a black one vs. silver.

i want to mount it somewhere where i can see it, yet somehow so that its not in plain view. i'm affraid with all my gadgets in plain view it will make my car (even more so) a target for thieves. I was thinking of either using the front cubby with a sliding mount. Maybe have it slide out and down and some how lock into an angled place. Either that or maybe throwing it in the arm rest. I only need it for tuning and it would be easier to use holding in hand maybe? Or i'll just mount it in plain view. Oh, also planning on getting the apexi AVC also. Gotta think of a way to mount the two.

Thanks for showing me your setups and giving some feedback.

Mike

I took the out of sight out of mind approach and muonted it inside the glove box. i know it is not the be for show purpses, but i figure, it is out of sight from some vandal, and if i really want to watch it all i have to do is open th glove box.

thats what im thinking too. And if i want to tune it i can just take it out and hold it in my hand. Easier when tuning. However, i guess you sacrifice bling factor. And ofcourse its all about the flossing the bling (until it gets stolen.... Haha)

yeah from my standpoint mine is somewhat neatly mounted in the glove box so if i choose to, i could make a plate to cover up the rest of the glove box so when i open it up all you see is the afc and no wires.

I have mine mounted in the sunglasses holder. Fits nicely up there. When I leave the car I just flip it closed. One less thing to attract thieves.

I had mine in the lower cubby, then the glovebox and then in the upper din slot and now I'm moving it down below the lower cubby where my stereo has been relocated (held in place with velcro). I never really worried about it attracting thieves since an SAFC is pretty cheap anyway.
