Final Tune Results!

Well here we are everyone, my final tune with just the addition of the AEM EMS/map sensor/air temp sensor. For those of you who havent read my previous thread I had a custom tune reflash done of my ecu by a well known tuner shop in northern jersey. They flashed my computer with my list of mods: intake, hks ssbv, grounding kit, full 3" turboback, walbro 255lhp, GSC 272's, arp headbolts. My car pulled nice with the cams, but the overall performance and ride of the car was complete sh*t in comparison to what it is now. Nick, from Precision Dyno in southern Jersey, told me he could fix that problem after i had inquired about the AEM EMS that he had on sale for a discounted price. I spoke with him on the phone for quite some time inquiring about anything and everything that had to do with the AEM EMS management system. The system itself can sell itself because it is an amazing product, but if you cant tune it, you may be sh*t out of luck. I have read many threads from those who had the system themselves but didnt have the ability to tune the thing. They b*tched about the system but they just didnt know its capabilities.
Anyways to make a long story short, Nick from PRECISION DYNO, promised me he could fix the problem that i had with the idle and aweful bucking i would often get after letting off the gas. Overall, I must say, the car ran like sh*t. After today, Nick tuned my AEM EMS and the car is f*cking incredible now. You would honestly think it is stock if you drove it, but a hell of a lot faster!! Ill let the graphs speak for themselves but here you are. Remember now, to thoughs of you who think that numbers really matter, i dynoed at 338whp and 310lbs of torque on a Dynojet prior to coming to Nicks mustang dyno. My base pull here with the same reflashed ecu came out at 282whp and 257lbs of torque. after this Nick installed the AEM EMS and tuned it and this is what my numbers came out to. 37whp and 61lbs of torque over the previous tune!!!

Awesome man, congrats! I'm actually in the works of getting an AEM EMS for Nick. After talking wiht him for a little while, he sounds like a really cool guy and I can't wait for him to fix my car. I have almost the exact same mods as you except i have cam gears and an AMS intercooler. Again, congrats on the numbers!

Thanks Abner!!!! Wish i could get back down there! I think you guys would be pretty amazed at my car now...its completely different. Im very happy with the results considering it was 100 degrees out today with a bunch of humidity...cant wait to tune some more in the winter months, although i will definitely have mo'parts by then, haha. Im going to get Nick to fly down there for all of you guys! hes f*ckin good, real good. To those of you who dont know about Precision Dyno yet, I would highly recommend you check them out! Seriously, you will NOT leave there unhappy.

Nice numbers but, 282hp and 257lbs torque seem low to me even with a base flash with cams. Still new numbers look good.

Yes, but theres a difference....The number seems low because it was done on a Mustang Dyno. DynoJets give much greater numbers.....when done on the dynojet with the cams and reflash it came out to 340whp.

I noticed that too, but the reason could be that he doesn't have cam gears. I don't know how much his numbers would improve, but the ability to retard his timing could yield extra power.

oh man, im not trying to be a dick here guys but you really have to understand that the #'s dont mean sh*t in this situation. you go ahead and put your evo on nick's dyno and see what #'s you put down. trust me, they will be nowhere close to what you think they are. my car is pretty ridiculously fast right now and i know the numbers dont seem to show that...i would just need to give you a ride i guess for the two of you to understand.

anyways, previously i put down 338whp and 310lbs of torque...now go ahead and look at the baseline pull off that dyno graph. that is off the tt flash about two weeks later on Precision Dyno's mustang dyno. you see the difference?? now look at the final tune by nick, bit of a change...only 35whp and 61lbs of torque. do the math and figure what that means on a dynojet, or the one i spoke about in particular.

Nice, congrats on both the #s and how nicely your car is running

Hey, just a quick question - how much boost are you running, and does it hold that boost to redline or back off a little bit? I am guessing you're still controlling boost w/ the hallman, right?

I am asking partially because I have an AEM on the way and happen to be using the hallman MBC at this time. Damn, w/ all these mods I have on my car I guess I should make a signature or something

My bad bro, I misread some of the info in your first post. I though you dynoed at 282 whp on the dynojet, but you meant the mustang dyno (right?). No doubt you made some sick numbers, and Nick really improved your car's performance. Sorry man, didn't mean to offend you, just analyzing.

oh no worries man, like i said i wasnt trying to be a dick. yes the 282 was put down on nick's mustang dyno, trust me, i was suprised too when i first saw the numbers. according to nick, he thought i was going to cry, hahah. hes a punk, no j/k. but anyways, no worries, if the numbers i stand at now were on the dynojet i ran before, my #'s would be 375whp & 371lbs of torque. like i said the numbers dont really matter, the car is fast as sh*t either way. im going to the track next week, so we will see what i can do...thats the real test.
