Safc really won't do much on the low for cruising as the stock ECU will try to change what you just did in closed loop.

I would forget it. There are very little to any gains available by tuning the low, unless using map instead of throttle position. Big waste IMO.

You should get a WBo2 and EGT if you want to tune for cruise.

How much power gain do you think you see on the conservative gain. Without a flash. With 93 octane gas??? Have the same mods. Have a fuel pump also but haven't put it in.

Also will this throw a service engine light??

This is a great post, but w/ all of these graphs Dynoflash has been posting, almost all of his tunes hover around the 12.0/high 11's a/f. He has tuned NUMEROUS cars, wouldn't you think one would have blown if that was too aggressive? Hell, he tuned my car and it runs 11.8's to redline as did all of the other 8 evo's that got tuned that day. This was on the dyno w/ the sniffer at the end of the exh., so the a/f measured at the downpipe will be richer, but I wonder if it would be low 11s.

I use 100 octane here, and i set the low THR @800 to 2000 for +2, then 3400 for +1, at high, i tried 04whtevors first suggested config for high THR, with the high to redline set at -5 and the low rpms set at +2 also, i noticed a considerable differnce in my car. I havent done a complete pull on third, but tested second, and it felt fine. It feels like it juices up a lot better for the low end, or it could be my mind psyching myself out. A feed back would be much appreciated.

awesome write-up!

i got my safc-2 tonight and set it up the way that you described for a basic tune instead all i have is cone filter and 3" cat-back, and i managed 23whp! This has been a great add-on. I have one question though....with a boost controller, at what PSI should you change your settings because i noticed in your write-up you said that you had a MBC but didnt list a PSI setting? Thanks again!
