actual dyno graph vs. ecu+ graph

How accurate is the dyno plot on the ecu+ ? Anyone done a pull on a real dyno while using the ecu+ to graph it at the same time?

i did, but it really made the numbers look retarded. I dont know why. It was on a dynodynamics dyno, and since it's a load baring dyno i think that it may have messed up the numbers that ECU + gave me.

however when i got off the dyno and did a road run and collected data the dyno numbers were within 10 hp.

ahh ok, within 10hp isnt too bad. Do you do 2nd or 3rd gear pulls on the road?

not even close for mine ..
granted mine is not your normal evo

but the point of the design was not in bragging rights .. it's in whether a tune works or not .. and you can see that by overlaying the various runs and do a comparison ..

cool thing is there's an SAE temperature correction factor for you to set a standard temp day .. http://wahiduddin.net/calc/calc_hp_abs.htm

Guys,

Usually a dyno will place a load of around 2000 lbs on the rollers (not positive on all types), so I'm not sure if the ECU+ has a place to enter car weight, but if you use 2000lbs, then the dyno numbers should match up much closer.

If you don't or aren't able to change this setting in ECU+, then the ECU+ will report dramatically higher numbers than the dyno.

Even if your numbers dont match, you can make them match.

adjust the transmission loss % or the vehicle weight.

my dynos were in 3rd, and so were my pulls on the ECU+
