Run 11s with these mods?

Wsup Evo Fam umm...

I wanted to know if I could run 11.99 with these mods and a good driver?(me)

I Currently have

DC Sport Downpipe w/catdelete
GSC 272 cams
S AFC II tuned to 11.5-9
Walbro 255 Fuel Pump
helix Intercooler piping

ACT clutch to hold the power and RS Front LSD to help launch. If I put race gas what should I put?; and what should I tune the A/F without pulling timing?

Should I get a flash or Utec b4 I run next week Nov 6? or will I be good with that SAFC. Just let me know.

u should definetly get a flash, ull be able to raise ur redline, which will make you faster through 4th, and if u get a flash, get one from dynoflash so u can put the race chip in so u can run faster

Strongly thinking about doing that or Turbotrix.

Without boost control? No. With an MBC turned up to 24-25psi on race gas and tuned to 12.0-12.2:1, you could go 115-116mph, which is good enough for 11s with good driving. Unfortunately, since you haven't gone to the track with these mods yet, I wouldn't count on it happening. We've gone like 5-6 times while you kept saying "I need to go to the track" each time, but haven't shown up for whatever reason. Because of this, I don't think you will be doing it at MIR on the 6th, but the setup you have is definitely capable of it. It's just that the drag strip is a finicky thing...expectations are so often crushed without proper preparation and practice.

We'll see what happens...

A flash won't help him. His 4th gear already goes much farther than the power he's making, so he doesn't need his rev limit raised. He also wouldn't be able to tune for race gas if he relied on a flash, so having an S-AFC for this scenario would be best.

Getting a flash and using the race chip is proven to work, but it's not anymore useful than the S-AFC+racegas+boost.

Ive heard that B4! Ummm well I forgot to mention MBC I do have one. Imma hate tuning it because i will have to do a few runs to make sure im pushing the right amount of boost. What kinda of Race gas are we talking for that 24-25PSI? 116? or like 104oct or something?

I'd say 104 would be good. Man you guys sure get good fuel out on the east coast.

I also read some words from Al a little while ago: Tuning with S-AFC is like hunting a bear with a sling shot... or something like that. I say get properly tuned WITH race gas before you go.

What ever you do decide - Good Luck! 11 seconds is fast!!

Unfortunately, you will only get 3-4 runs the whole day, since it will be incredibly crowded. Don't worry about dialing in the tune, though, because I can help you get it right almost immediately. Just make sure you find the whole DcEvo group, and I'll help you. Actually, look for The Speed Factor's booth, because I'll be wherever they are.

You can do 24-25psi on any race gas from what I've seen, but if you have a test pipe, I'll suggest you go ahead and do at least 110 leaded. They also have 112 and 116, but I am not convinced that the performance gain is worth the difference in price. Also, if you don't have a logger, you won't really be doing any tuning anyway...it will all be guesswork. Luckily, I've already done extensive testing and tuning with race gas and an S-AFC, so I should be able to get you setup nicely.

With those mods on an '03 Evo, even with a mbc or ebc, you won't see any better than mid 12's. My guess is you'll see no better than a 12.3-12.5
