Knock Setting

I have a quick question regarding the knock setting on ECU+. Should I have it set at Peak-Hold w/ Decay, or Instantaneous? I had it at Peak- Hold w/Decay since I got the ECU+, but it seems to read high, even at stock settings. I tried instantaneous today and it seemed a lot more realistic, but hey, what do I know. I need to know this before I start playing with timing, because I don't want to be looking at the wrong knock readings.

Also, I have my fuel tuned for 11:1 from 5250 rpm and up, does that sound ok on California 91? Thanks

I'll add a little more fuel. My egt's are about 850c which is pretty good, but I'll still add a little fuel. Thanks.

what knock voltage spikes are you getting?

Tom says to leave it at peak hold with decay for accurate knock events. You really have to watch your knock volts on cali 91 octane, just because your AFR seems to be at a safe number, it doesn't mean it's safe.

Is it pretty much unanimous that ecu+ users set their knock threshold to 2.5v? Is that a pretty safe number, because I am really relying on that with my tuning? Thanks

Hrmmm 11:1 sounds rich. I run about 11.5:1 on 91 and 19psi.

As far as knock goes, I use AEM, but my threshold is about 2.8V. BTW A/F won't effect your knock nearly as much as your timing will. This means throwing fuel at a map with too much timing proabably isn't going to fix your problem.
