Confused about tuning solution, need help

I'm getting an IX this spring, the car will be a daily drive and a monthly track car, i want the ability to have 2 maps, one daily drive ~300whp and a track map with 350-400whp. A MUST FOR A TUNING SOLUTION IS ADAPTABILITY, meaning i don't want to get it retuned every 2 weeks cuz the weather changes, i want some that will work year round from 0-100F. I would also need data logging capabilities of the A/F, knock, and injector duty cycle, all the important stuff when i'm pushing my car hard on the track. I will either be going piggyback or flash but i prefer piggyback. When switching maps, electronic boost control should have its coresponding values for each map (ie. 21psi for street, 23 for track) something like that. Please post ur suggestions. Money as of now is not an issue but i need something with adaptability so i won't need a retune every season change. Must operate from 0-100F with no problems.

my guess is that you are going to want both a flash and a piggyback. Get a flash for the basics and then a piggyback so that you can have multiple maps. Personally, I'd check out ecu+. You are definately compromising a good deal if you want one map that goes from 0-100F... I do believe there are these solutions for you though... where you press one of two buttons on your dash x times for map an and y times for map b. Honestly though... I feel a dynoflash and then an Ecu+ is the very best bet for you.

i was thinking xede but i've heard shiv's customer service sucks and i've e-mail them several times with no replies which makes me very wary, i was thinking to have al or someone give me a flash and then have a UTEC, but Inn-Tune mentioned something about a soltuon that is coming out so i'm also considering that, ECU+ doesn't look like it has too big of a user base so i was wondering if they have good customer support, last and final, i was wondering if anyone near illinois could tune any of these solutions 2 states away max, pref AMS cuz i live right next to them

ecu+ has a flawless customer support, new features are added all the time simply because customers ask for it. go to ecuplus.com and go to the forums, its a very powerful piggyback that is continually evolving... I dont know how helpful that is for you since you just want push-button tuning though. I don't know if AMS has tuned an ecu+... but to be honest its super easy to use and anyone can do it... especially the guys at AMS. I suggest going through all the different tuning forums here and checking each out, instead of simply posting in "general engine management" Hope all goes well.

If money doesnt matter get a stand alone. you will be able to look at EVERYTHING. you can make 2 different maps for street and track that will adjust boost, fuel, and timing etc..... I have an Autronic PNP and it is great. before that i had Dynoflash. There was nothing wrong with Al's reflashes. I got a 30whp gain with my first custom tune from him, but driving hundreds of miles to get retuned when i upgraded mods sucked. I have several maps on my autronic that range from pumpgas, racegas, open downpipe etc. Im very pleased with the unit and do the tuning myself. Martin at AMS can tune autronic, he tuned my buddies 97 eclipse GSX with autronic and that car did amazing things after martin tuned it.

The problem with Standalone is that you have to tune it almost constantly for the first little while. I have a friend that has his AEM EMS Speed Density setup for over a year and he still has to adjust it every so often. But once you have masterred the technique it will be fairly easy to tune/retune.
I will vote for ECU+ if you still want ODB-II capability. With the option to go with GM's 3.5" MAF there is no need for Speed Density setup until you want something like a GT42R turbo.
As for the power level, my car makes ~400HP/400TQ at the wheels on stock turbo, 93octane and Methanol. This is how I drive on the street EVERYDAY and the only difference at the track is the removal of the spare tire. Dynoflash and ECU+ is a potent combo

Anyone got any comments about ECU+ vs UTEC, one thing i can say is that the ECU+ requires a laptop to change maps while the UTEC can change on the fly, am i correct about this and what are the pros and cons of both system, any siginifican't issues i should be worried about, and rember i need electronic boost control related to the map i chose, ex. track map 22psi street 19psi like that

ecu+ you can store unlimited maps on you palm or pc but you need your palm or pc to change maps

Ecu+ has a much better user interface...... goto ecuplus .com and you can download the software and check it out
