I'm running a 2003 EVO with RC engineering 750 cc injectors, HKS 272 cams, and a TME turbo. I'm using an SAFC to tune. At
2900 - 3200 RPM
19 - 22 % throttle
at a steady cruise
the car will intermittnetly lean out to 20:1. It bogs down and loses power. If you monitor the megahertz on the Karmen Air flow meter with the SAFC it remains relatively normal. I put in new plugs. I took offf the air flow sensor; on the origianal one the honeycomb was damaged so I replaced it. I still have the same problem. I've tried adjusting the SAFC in the range of 2000 to 4000 RPM's...still no change. My throttle set points are low throttle 25, high throttle 65. Any ideas would be appreciated.

i was told when using the safc to keep your throttle points high, and close
like 69/70.

How is your stock o2 sensor?
i know when i'm on the decel it reads 20:1.
But in closed loop it should be between 14.7-16 roughly.
what is your fpr at?

 

I was reading about keeping the throttle points close and I thought about trying that.
I have an innovate LC-1 hooked up below the stock O2 sensor. I was thinking about pulling the sensor and looking at it.
On cruise at 3000 RPM's my AF ratio was about 14.5 : 1

You need a datalogger! Your fuel trims are prolly all messed up. Did u subtract fuel for both hi an low throttle? When i had the afc in, i had the low throttle adding about 10% into the positive range because it was lean at idle and part throttle. This is with 780 injectors.
