clutch noise and the Utec?
A brief preface! I love my stock clutch and it is still holding strong with 24K on it and many trips down the strip in the mid 12's. I do however believe that I am about to exceed it's capabilities with 400WHP. I have heard from a few people that the Utec will indicate knock with a noisy twin plate and this concerns me. I do not want to have to play the guessing game to determine if it is really knock or just clutch noise. I would like to hear from those who log with the Utec and run some aftermarket clutches. Do you ever have this problem with the Utec reading clutch noise as knock? Any recomendations for a quieter clutch that will still hold this kind of power. Thanks in advance
I know the Tiltons will cause a P0300 code, it's happened to 2 cars so far well that I know of.
Even though I don't have a UTEC anymore, wasn't there a way to turn the sensitivity down? Or was that just with the Tuner pro?

Yeah I could turn the sensitivity down, but I kinda like the safety of it being so sensitive. Afer doing a lot of homework I am confident that the stock clutch will hold the power and I am going to stick with the OEM clutch. I have nailed many 1.7 60 foor times with the stocker and it has lasted 24K miles. I like it.
I have the RPS street disk and I get a false knock signal whenever my clutch is depresed at high rpms. Happened on the dyno, with the UTEC, but Martin at AMS assured me it is nothing to worry about.
