i have a 05 evo 8 and its just over 2500 miles and im concerned about like how when im driving fast and ****fting i hear a "thud" type of noise when i shift is that bad, good? or is it not supposed to happen?

Mine did the same thing. When you shift are you hitting the gas hard? If so, try to shift a bit smoother. The noise I assume is coming from the rear of the car. When you shift, ease onto the gas. See if that helps!

 

This also happend to me. I was shifting it like a front or rear wheel drive car. This was the first all wheel drive car I owned and like EVOLVEU said too much gas when letting clutch out.

 

its the sound of LSD locking isnt it?

 

My buddy has a wrx and his does the same thing when I told him. Less gas with clutch engagement
