ok i have a 2008 evo and when im driving about 50 - 60 mph there is a humming noise when im just cruzing. when i let off the gas or give it more gas it stops ...anyone know of this is just the fuel pump or somthing else and does anyone else have this same problem

It's probably the acd pump. After a long drive, mine makes a humming or whining noise from the rear. The sound will go away after the car is turned off and sit for awhile.

 

It does it all the time like i said only if im stayin at bout 50 mph ...and when i let off the gas it stops or give it more it stops ..at 60 mph u dont hear it and it sounds like its in the rear

its your muffler. i know, it's weird, but it's actually a very slight drone.

 

idk it might be but it sounds like a pump that is humming like on my gst eclipse it has and upgraded fuel pump and it humms like this noise any other thoughts if thats not it

 

fuel pump would be constant noise and not depend on speed. So I think you can rule that out.

I'm very much in agreement with ikt that it's drone from your exhaust.
