BADEVO, I like the setup.....

I had an AEM EMS, and after a few weeks of researching, planning and tuning I decided i coul both not afford to have it tuned and want to do it myself, and for my power goals I can use a versatile piggyback and go from there, with an in-car laptop or computer.

I was figuring a cube PC but dont want the power supply issues, so a laptop is what Ive got and right now all I use it for is talking about what I want instead of using it.

Now....I figure a PLX R500 WBO2 to handle all my monitoring and data logging...so I can lose my mechanical gauges.

I'll use an ECU+ coupled to my laptop and thaty setup in itself with all the options, less the laptop I already own is actually cheaper than what i paid for the AEM EMS and the car is much safer and easier to run.

Question, however, do i need a reflash to take of the rev limiter and such.

let me know what you think.

I would defentley get the Mode 0 flash from Jestr tuning to get rid of the rev limiter and boost taper. He's a great dude and the customer service is AWESOME.

I didnt go EMS for the same reason. It's TOO MUCH for what I need. I dont need all the stuff it has so why pay for it. I like your ideas. Looks like we are on similar paths.

Definitely. I just need a base flash to get rid of the rev limiter really, the boost is controlled by a MBC from TurboXS.

Question.....I wanted to convert to IAT and MAP sensor running, instead of that damned MAF. The updated software can do it...no?

Not currently but Tom is always adding features. The stock MAF isn't a bottleneck for 98% of evo owners anyway.

hey great work! cant wait to see it installed

Where did you buy the in-case pc and lcd screen?

Does the in-car pc have anything special to protect it from vibrations from the Evos stiff suspension?

It would be perfect if this is a touch screen enabled LCD. Or is it already?
