That isn't an OS....that is what is known as a 'front-end' in the carpc world. There are many great front-ends around. You can ready about a ton of them over at the mp3car.com website.

I am using the inputs in the stereo to get the sound to the speakers. Its going in the glove box. I can play cd's from there, but I'll have over 3000 songs in the pc that I can update weekly etc. I dont listen to the radio

That is truely awesome. Nice job. I guess I should go to the site to look at the specs, but what is the screen res. for the particular monitor that you're using? The screen is touch enabled, but I saw a cursor on the screenshots -- are only certain apps touch enabled, or are you provided with a driver that sends mouse clicks whereever you press with your finger? Does it come with a main menu that you can use instead of seeing the windows desktop / taskbar?
Finally.... where did you get the red cellophane-looking stuff that goes around your HVAC light tube assembly? Did you replace the stock bulbs with red ones? If you can point me in the right direction, that would be cool... I have found one other place that does it from other posts, but am wondering about your source.
