AFR meter...
I like everything that I have read about the PLX R 500. Logs knock Afr etc. I am mostly interested in its knock feature. I want to get a obdII Logger and log my timing while using the R-500 and a piggy back of some sort (unsure of what im going to get) to tune the car.

Get Zeitronix.....http://www.zeitronix.com/
For about 280$ you will get a WB and datalogging of...
Lamba
AFR
RPM
TPS
Add a MAP sensor from them to log boost, (its the same one that AEM uses), 110$ cheapest around
Add a knock buffer from Vishnu (110$ shipped), hook it up to the user input and be able to log REAL KNOCK.
Add a EGT sensor from Zetronix for 77$
Total 577$ to be able to log....
Lamba
AFR
RPM
TPS
Boost
Knock
EGT
The ObdII logger ($100), PLX 500 ($550) and you still need to buy a MAP sensor to log boost and a EGT sensor, which will be a lot more.

I think A/F monitors are a great investment, egt and oil pressure instrumentation should also be used in my opinion. I have an FJO wideband. You get what you pay for, Im not willing to risk my engine to a 300 dollar A/F monitor, so I went with a higher end one. Plus the bosch sensors cant handle leaded fuel very well, the fuel kills them. FJO uses a ntk sensor, which is bullet proof. Just my .02 cents

The thing is they are in canada and only have I think two US distributors. They have links to the distributors on the site. I cant remember their address offthe top of my head, but its on FJO's site

The AEM UEGO is not a good way to go IMO. It has a very limited AFR range, particularly on the rich end of the scale and the range isn't adjustable. As far as I know, it has no alarm capability, no configurability for colors/display, no datalogging ability, no ability to show readings from other sensors, etc. Which gauge does all this? The Innovate XD-1. Incredible product. I have one and am 100% satisfied with it.

Idle is 14.7-8, steady freeway driving 14.7-8.
Partial throttle & boost drops to 13 then 12.6
Getting on the boost WOT it will drop to 10.6 by redline.
What AFR values should I be seeing?
Buschur stage 1 but not yet tuned. Using 100octane Sunoco

Zeitronix is the only one worth a damn. With egt, boost, TPS, RPM, Lambda, Aux input1 and 74 samples per second, per parameter, it is lightning fast.
We stock them and use them to tune our cars as well as customer Evos.
Yes, they are compatable with Evo IX and I have the pinout info for anyone buying one from us.
