Turbo back exhaust question

I bought a kit for my turbo back pretty much, it comes with a resonator pipe, it looks like the cat-delete I have. Does it go in place of the catalitic converter or does it go somewhere else on the pipe? Here's a link to what it looks like. I know its prolly a dumb question I'll be kicking myself in the head for later but I gotta know.

Thanks =)

P.S. Does it make it louder or quieter? I heard both from diffrent part dealers.

I'm pretty sure that pipe goes inplace of your catalitic converter...if its resonated it will make it quieter.

Did you buy that stuff off of ebay?

a testpipe will make your car louder than if you had the stock cat of hfc...

the resonator will quiet it down a bit
