Effects of HKS DLI II or AEM TWIN FIRE on tune

I am plan on getting professionally tuned by TurboXS one the map software is released, my question is I ordered a HKS DLI II so I don't have to gap my plugs at .020 or .022. The HKS unit is backorder till forever so I decided to go with the new AEM twin fire that will be out end of april. My question is if I get tuned before that will it effect anything with my tune given that the car doesn't break up with stock ignition.

It shouldn't. It should just give you added security under higher boost that your spark won't break up. If you were tuning with a standalone it may affect your dwell time readings but thats about it.

Depending on the tune you should make sure you have it installed before you tune.. The only reason I suggest this is on some really aggressive tunes, you can see as much as 27-28 degrees of timing, In reality its not that much timing, but its "leading" the ignition which the upgraded ignition box will no longer require and you want to tune for that.

Anything that uses the stock coils will have to lead the timing somewhat at that level because the recycle time of the coils is what your waiting on.

And gap the plugs at .026 or larger instead of smaller once you got the box installed.

Yea I am in process now of trying to source it before I get tuned, Jermaine suggested the same thing you just stated.

Thanks
