so about 2 months ago I decided it was time to step up and get a new turbo and some more agressive cams and meth injection. I ended up buying the atp 3071 turbo kit. I also decided to take out my 264 hks cams and replace them with revolver cams and revolver valve springs and retainers. I went with aem cam gears and 720 injectors. And I bought a snow mist meth kit. Now Ive done all of my work so far with SRM in san rafael. I was sitting at 290 whp and 308 pft. But Srm was looking for a new tuner and I couldnt wait so I took my car to groupe-s, what a bad mistake that was. They told me it would take about 3 days. Well when I went there to pick it up there tuner told me he didnt think he could tune it because of the revolver cams. So I told him to keep the car and figure it out. So a couple of days later he called me and said it was the pump in the meth kit, so he sent it back to snow and two weeks later he got it back. So the day I was going to get it back he called me and said he was still having problems with the meth kit, so I said forget the meth kit just tune it on 91. So after about 2 hours of tuneing my car I show up and this is what he tells me. 300 whp and only 274 pft. I then drove the car and i could tell it was slower. He said I had a boost leek and thats why It put up those dog **** numbers. So I lost 30 pounds of torque and only gained 10 whp. I went back and told SRM and they couldnt belive what had just happened, But they also told me that there new tuner was flying in from Australia and he would be here for a week and will tune my car, So to make a long story short I got my car back after just one day and here are my numbers 340 whp and 320 pft. so I gained 50 pft and 70 whp. When paul at SRM ran my car he said it only had 270 whp and 270pft. The dyno at SRM is a dyno pack it puts up the same numbers as a mustang dyno.So I dont think I really need to talk **** about those other guys but I will say this SRM is the real ****en deal and I will never let anyone else ever touch my car.Oh ya , My car is awsome now feels like a ****en jet taking off.

 

I have a question about the revolvers. Do they tick at all? My lifters tick with the revolvers, and I can't seem to get rid of it, even with JAM lifters. They also idle like ****, but I haven't gotten tuned yet. They seem like they make awesome power, but I am afraid to get tuned until I know everything is 100% mechanically perfect. Thanks

 

I hope this guy Paul Fischer gets hired and moves out here quick...I just got off the phone with Bo and he says the guy is going back to austrailia Sunday...They are working on getting him out here to stay...I want my car tuned by this guy...

When your cams were installed they must not have bled your lifters. I had that problem with my 264 hks then I had them bled

 

you need to ask them to bleed your lifters and that ticking noise will go away. I love my revolver cams the power and monster torque is great but the sound is unbeleivable.

 

Wow really shows what a good tunner can do, hats of to SRM again.
