Power FC Water Temp Setting????

Guys,

I was just wondering if there's a certain setting on the FC that controls the engine fan....btw, the car is an EVO7

The engine fan doesnt turn on automatically and causes overheating....but when i turn on the Aircon both fans are working...and maintains normal temp.... So that eliminates the notion of a busted engine fan.

Here are the things i've done so far....

>Replaced the thermostat
>Replaced the control unit of fan (located at the rear of the fan-->black box)
>Check for blown gasket-->no signs of having one.

Does anybody know how the engine fan is turned on..on EVO's ??? is there a sensor like the one on 1G DSM (galant VR4 and eclipse)....located at the bottom of radiator that controls the fan???

I think the one on the EVO7 is busted.

Onie

I believe Apex had a problem with some of the units not controlling the fans or the temp being to high by time the fans kicked in. You might have to send it in to Apex to get it fixed or just run a manual switch into the car.

mxjs--> Yaaikkkss...thats bad bad news for me. There's no apexi distributor here in our country and got the unit from Japan.....problem is the language barrier....huhuhu.

Btw, the car was ok for a month or two...until things got abnormal...thats why i want to change the sensor that triggers the fan before going on the next step.
