ECU+ is in, how accurate is the dyno?

I just installed ECU+ today on my evo 7. I have a 6 speed tranny swap so i used the MR option in the dyno analysis. After fiddling for a hour this was a result of a 3rd gear pull: 284 hp. Only mods area mbc set to 1.3 bar, MR bov, HKS 3" turboback, HKS RS intake, HKS ic kit. Suprised me a bit so how accurate is the dyno? If i set the tranny loss to zero, its more realistic at 238 whp. I've been reading that the timing advance should be somewhere around 21 degrees at wot, but i'm no where near that. o2's show that i'm running rich (1.01v) but i'll have my plx m250 installed later this week. Also, my ecu is mr578511 which i have found no info about on the net (stock 7 ecu is mr560648). Any tips and suggestions? Thanks.

With tranny loss set to zero, I find that the ECU+ road dyno is almost spot on with the torque reading and about -10whp off the whp reading from a Mustang Dyno that I use locally to tune.

In reality, it doesn't really matter how close it is to a real dyno. It is best used to see what differences are made after tuning changes. As long as you use the same stretch of road and close to the same temp.

Hi

Looks like you have a Ralliart ECU, the RSII is a UK conversion, so the ralliart ECU would be about right. The ralliart usualy runs more boost, higher fuel cut, no speed limit & quite a lot richer, with a milder timing map. Here's a link to the Ralliart ECU map I have looked at.

Would you post up your ECU+ logs so I can look at them, Evo 7 logs are a bit hard to find. Thanks.

Hi

Thanks for posting the log. Nice power your making. You may have noticed a knock at 4800, timing is being pulled by 4 degrees there. Maybe something to look at.
