yeah bd4s can tune hks no worries
but having a fcon v would be useless as you have to goto them each time
the powerfc has tons of tuners in australia, not to mention the cost vs buying an fcon v pro

Come on; you live in Australia. Why on earth would you go with a PowerFC, when you can get an Autronic SM4 or Motec M400/M600/M800? Take advantage of your local resources and get something better.

Supposedly my friend (owns a shop) called just earlier today about an Apexi turbokit and PowerFC for a customer and they said they had it for the IX already. IDK if this was with a dealer who doesn't know the facts..... or with the company themselves. I'll find out tomorrow for sure and will post some info.

So what was the outcome? It would seem Apexi Japan has not yet put any effort into MIVEC control savvy ECU.

Just Talked to Apexi today, No Eta on the power FC for the 9. I think this is by far the best system out, they spend the most time on their map for their cars.

You are joking.... The EVO IX has been in Nippon since June 2005. Now last time I looked Motec, Autronic(maybe), Haltec and several others had aftermarket ECU's up and running. Lets face it - Apexi arent what they once were and the lack of support for the IX shows that. MIVEC has meant they cant just trot out the same old box with re jigged plugs.

Now the PFC is easy to use, we all enjoy the data-logit challenge - and when hooked with a WBO2 makes mild tuning a breeze. But it is not even close the the best system out there... My tip is they won't even bother doing a IX ECU

I think we will ECUflash till spec dictates upgrade then Motec
