'03 with 3076 tuned

Ok well here is the full story even most people will skip right over this for the pictures. I bought my EVO from a person on this board expecting some numbers. What I got was a decent daily driver but once You get into the upper RPM range it fell on its face. I broke down and did a full tune at Dyno Dynamics with Chris Macellaro tuning my AEM from the ground up.

What I started with was a car that couldn't complete a full pull on the dyno do to EXTREMELY lean A/F so Chris had to go add some fuel so we could get a baseline, ut the first run only made 230hp.

After some minor tuning Chris was glad to show me the next graph on the projector.

then another...

and the final run was....

The overlay of the first and final run

Not Only did my car gain performance it has gained 5MPG consistantly which was awesome. I still can't believe this is the same car I mean we did up the boost to 23 from the 19 it was running.

Here is the List of mods...

Garrett GT3076R .63 A/R turbine housing @ 23PSI
Buschur Racing Front Mount Intercooler
Buschur Racing Upper and Lower Intercooler Pipes
Helix Stainless Exhaust Manifold
Buddy Club Racing 272 intake, 272 exhaust camshafts
Custom 3” O2 Housing and Downpipe with flex section
Precision Turbo 780cc Fuel Injectors
Walbro 255lph Fuel Pump
JIC 3” Stainless Cat-back exhaust
Custom 4” Intake with K&N Carbon Fiber Filter
AEM EMS system

Are you using a ATP3076 turbo kit since I see you have a helix exhaust manifold? What octane were you running? Just curious how the lag is on the streets? Great numbers

I am glad you like the car Josh!

Good to see you have picked up so much fuel ecomomy also. Let me know if I can do any more to help you in the future like race gas mapping.

thank you

great number guys but I really don't care about your numbers just that this was done as a conservative tune for a daily driver with some power.

Andrew,
Shouldn't he go tighter than that on the gap with the bigger turbo? I run .026-.027 on stock turbo with a hot side. I thought for bigger turbo I would need to reduce the gap to .023-.024 on BR8ES plugs.

***Once again a car that runs like crap goes to a good shop and gets their car working 100% better. I will NEVER go to a crap shop again. Even for just a dyno pull. Dyno4mance is an awesome shop! If you live within driving distance (10 hours for me) it is worth your time to go get a tune!
