Results S2 Cams vs. HKS 264's!

All I have to say it WOW! These cams are amazing! The car feels insane!

First off I my hat is off to Greg, wait for the S2's if they are taking a while to get in, it is well worth it.

First graph with HKS 264 cams 25 psi:

Second graph with GSC S2 cams dropped in nothing else changed, no tuning, nothing else, ONLY 19 lbs OF BOOST (because no tune to be safe):

What do you guys think?

well gains are definetly there... and are very very expected...

i think the s2 would compare more to a 280/280

regardless.... if you cant handle the power i'll swap the 35r kit for the evo green and mani kit

cheers!

Looks pretty promising.... I have ordered the S2 cams along with the AMS 50 trim so hopefully the results are as good as it has been so far

GSC says that with the 50 trim, you should still run S1's. S2's are for the 35r and larger. Just telling you what they said. I ordered the S1's yesterday for my 8. good luck.

Numbers look great and the powerband curve appears to be much smoother

No problems thus far, I need to take it off and clean up the inside a bit with my dremel and tap my EGT gauge. It is a decent manifold, when I got it, it needed a little bit of touching up. There were some casting marks still left over. All-in-all the price was right and seems to be performing well, so I can't complain.

Only thing I wish is that it came with a 44MM v-band setup for the wastegate not the 38MM flanged style.

Cool info! i am also running a 35r and can't wait to get rid of the HKS 264s. They served there purpose before but now bigger is needed!

Yeah the S2 are for 450whp+. Greg also told me the S1s are basically for stock turbo, 50 trim and 3076

sweet! 50 hp gain, no real loss of spool or torque at all.

so i guess it stopped snowing

S2 cams are for cars with a turbo that can support more than 500+. i like the 35R with these cams. they are the starting point for these cams. anything smaller needs to go to the S1 cams.

oh and we have plenty of the Evo 8 S2's on the shelf for those needing them

I can't stress enough how amazingly good the car feels. It is butter smooth now! Greg said I will pick up some power, just didn't know it would have such an amazing affect as they have.

P.S. - the loop at idle is scary......sounds better than a cammed up v8
