$650 is hella cheap.. considering the license fee for the ecutek runs like $600 by itself..

ok ok

not 100% sure but i belive that EcuTek no longer requires their dealer to charge the crazy 699USD or something for the License you have to get. I believe its up to the dealer what they charge for license.

So in essence, you can get the license for free or much cheaper now like 100-200 bucks and then just pay for the tune, whatever they charge per hour.

Um..... I think not. Call KTR in Ayer Mass and get a quote for a Ecutek flash. If they say 100 or 200 for the license fee I would be more than shocked. I love how people say "I heard this/that" get some facts before you spread misinformation.

So you guys are charging 500 for the license fee and the tuning is FREE, nice gesture. A 500 license fee is a little rediculous with the alternatives in the market. Not slamming as I have been a customer of your in the past( Franz did my first Eutek tune) but my car will never have another Ecutek flash unless they show some kind of support for the EVO market. Mainly the user tuning/ logging that was promised when I first got my flash...early 2005.

When I had it, $600 in Scottsdale at Dynocomp! Which included dyno time and tuning. But I now have AEM EMS, FTW!

there you go buddy, Ben from KTR spoke, they charge 5 bills and that includes 1 hour of tuning for 2 bills. so if you do the math, its 300 bucks for the ECUTEK license; obviously a 200-300 drop from 700-800 bucks people used to pay for license with 1 hour of tuning.

If you look hard enough, you might even have to pay less, although probably not in NE.
