Simplest way to eliminate off-throttle surge?

I do a lot of very tight mountain driving. I need smooth throttle control and right now my off-throttle surge is pretty bad. I'm running a Turbo XS UTEC and stock MAF, recirculating Forge BOV. I'm thinking of ditching the UTEC and going the Maftpro route.

Looking at the MAF Translator lineup, which would be the simplest solution to eliminate this surge:

Or would any of these solve my surge problem, and I'm over-analyzing all this?

another thought is using a GM maf in blow-thru mode, and use the GEN-II. The older standard MAFT has limited tuning range, and the Gen-II is very flexible.

That said, the Pro can be used with a MAF in 'translator mode' and you can step up to speed density sometime in the future.

The Gen-II can not run Speed Density (MAFless).
