Guys I've done hours of searching and really haven't come up with any specific threads to help me out.

I'm planning on getting a e-flash through Jest-r Tuning. I've already got evoscan and ecu-flash software dl'd to my labtop (also have the cable to plug into the ecu).


1) Are there any step by step threads that would help me as far as hooking up my laptop to the ecu?

2) How do i make a back up/or save the original settings of my ecu to my computer. I'm assuming this would be smart, if I ever wanted to bring my car back to stock form. Does the car have to be running?

3) I need to send a log of a 3rd or 4th gear pull to Jester Tuning. I've got evoscan uploaded, but i've been reading that you need another program to display your logs? I've seen alot of people use Excel. Can I somehow get excel for free anywhere? Or should I use some other program?


Any info or tips or links to help me with this would be appreciated.
