can crank shaft sensor make ur car run poorly????

Question can crank shaft sensor make ur car run poorly????

yes i have an evo and can it be b/c of the crankshaft sensor that makes the engine die at times??? It happens on my 95 tsi also. can it be removed or no??? any ideas please let me know.

Yes. You NEED the Crank Position Sensor working.

Why do you think it's your CAS that makes the car die?

I only ask because you give absolutely no information in your post other than you have an Evo (and a 95 TSI) and it occasionally dies.

Usually it can be tracked down to something simpler like a VTA BOV.

Yes you need it, without a CAS your ignition wont know when to fire the cylinders. It tells the ECU when to fire spark as well as fuel, without those two and just air, car can NOT stay running and will die.

the thing right now is that i just put in an jdm motor from scjdmotors and the turbo seal was bad and i put a new one in. i guess im not sure how the new engine is but when it runs in the city it seems to run ok until i get on the highway and then the car shakes alot and sometimes it will shut down and i would have to restart the car agian. im not too sure wat is wrong i just need some ideas.???????

I thought the cam angle position sensor took care of ignition

is there a way to fix or adjust the camshaft sensor to make the car run better? i know i have a cheap bov on it but it ran fine for my old motor. i really dont know about this jdm motor. has anyone have a jdm motor before? 4g63t.???????
