Question any ideas for the engine dying??/

i have talk to a guy about my situation and he said it might be my crankshaft sensor.
here is the thing,, my engine 4g63t on my 95 tsi turbo keeps shutting down when im driving and when i go into neutral to a stop. it doesnt matter if the engine is cold or hot. could it be the o2 senser bc its not hooked up the one on the manifold?/ any ideas please let me know ok....

o2's do not cause the car to die. defenlty check the crank sensor.

does it die when your like on the throttle moving, or only when you slow down and stop at a stop light or whatever?
