Angry Cannot Reflash My Car!

I reflashed my 2006 IX MR a few times in Tacoma (Axiom) with decent results. I recently removed and ported both my exhaust manifold and O2 housing and wanted to get it reflashed. But the technician (Moses) had left before I could get ihim to retuned and he cannot be located.

I went to TorqueFreaks(Portland) last week to get it reflashed but with no luck. The problem I have is that they couldn't get connectivity with any of their computers. They could run EVOSCAN but cannot tap into my ECU to reflash.

I do not understand why I can not get connectivity? Is it possible that you cannot reflash over certain software reflashes? I asked Axiom what software Moses used, they said that he used EcuTek software. If I cannot reflash over his software with another software, is it posiible to download EcuTek software to reflash my car again.

Any help would be very apprciative. I am very dissappointed and want to be able to retune my car.

You need to unlock your ECU. Search for user: MalibuJack and download his software. That should get you going.

You need the ecu unlocker v1.1 program and make sure you have microsoft netframe 2.0 so you can run the program. www.aktivematrix.com search for the unlocker prgram.

Except I am reasonably sure that Moses uses ECUflash not ECUtek. The ECU shouldnt be locked, there are other reasons that the connectivity issues can arise. Do you have a cable yourself?

Your init code was changed.

You have to unlock it - then change your init code back to 0001.

Some tuners lock the map so other companies can't look at the tune and steal information. It's a proprietary information thingy-ma-bob.
