Captured a UTEC log - help me understand ...
When researching the MAF vs. MAP load reference awhile back I think the basic school of thought was that MAF was better due to its ability to account for weather conditions.
Unfortunatly, I think allot of people running high boost and getting much higher than normal stock MAF readings were having difficultly using the stock sensor and were forced to use MAP.
This is just what I remember from previous posts on the subject. I would encourage you to search a little regarduing the subject incase my memory is flawed. I am currently using MAF for reference but do not run over 23psi and do not see any where near the MAF values you get. I am maxing around 1800.

Mike,
You NEED to get that wideband data into those logs. I have not used Jacks software yet but it is worth spending some time figuring it out. Personally I would sell the wideband and buy a tuner or tuner pro to make everything seemless. Where do you have the smc set to start? What jet are you using? With the UTEC you have to spend a lot of time learning the system. Man people don't and they end up bailing out on it and going back to a flash or and AEM tuned by someone else. If you are willing to do your homework and set it up right, the UTEC is an awesome tool that can do almost anything an AEM can do. You are welcome to come check out my setup anytime and I would even give you a hand getting a good base map.

Thanks for the help guys.
Ed - you have no idea how bummed I was when the plans you and Jack were putting together fell through...
If I had it to do again, I would probably get the tuner instead of the AEM wideband.
But using Mitsulogger, or ecuscan etc. I can tie the AEM in over through the serial connection.
There's always a second set of eyes on that guage during a pull, so there's an "audio alarm" that goes off
if the A/F looks too lean.
