Yeah there is a serious lack of tuners coming out this way and I dont know why its one of the most beautiful cities in the U.S IMO. All the shops are up north well past L.A. may be time to bite the bullet on a wideband.

Thats an offer any tuners who come out to road tune in SD in the next month Ill personally buy you a "dance" @ the world famous Adelitta's in T.J.

You should have a wideband regardless off meth. No local tuners in San diego? Amazing...

Tuning, and deciding what boost to run should all take the backseat!

Decide on the meth kit, and a proper FAIL Safe.

Then you can run 100% meth and 34PSI

As stated i have the SMC kit. They dont really have a failsafe other than a low fluid light. I just want two know if I can have my cake and eat it too. If a the pump fails I want the boost to keep pushing 21psi so I can continue the race.

Great info. So on a stock cammed VIII thats probably around 4500 RPM? So detonation is more likely to occur @ peak torque rather than higher piston speeds say 7,000 RPM. Check

Get that failsafe, get that wideband and get a custom tune by a good tuner who knows his meth (TTP-Engineering) went 10.94@129 on 100% meth and a stock turbo...

And you are right where stated detonation occurs at peek tq.

Just an update took about 5 hours for the SMC trunk mount meth kit and I took my time to do everything correct running the wires, braided lines, etc. I placed the controller in the change dish and I added my own 15amp dipole switch so I can leave the system off while the car is running if I choose to. 50/50 yellow heet and water and first though third seem strong 4th and 5th gear feel too fat. So Im gonna shop around and see if I can get a catch all map, make it spray @ 15psi instead of 12 and turn up the boost 2lbs. Overall Im very pleased with the kit and how progressive yet simple it is. Worst case scenario I have an expensive way of ensuring I dont get Knock on this SoCal 91 octane. Peace

We have tuned San Diego Evos at 30psi on 90 octane and TTP-Engineering Meth Injection system with ZERO KNOCK.

We have been using meth injection for a long time and probably the most experienced meth injection tuner you will find for the Evo platform and factory ECU.
