How low does the AEM UEGO read? (richie rich)

Is 10.0 the lowest afr that the AEM UEGO can read? I recently installed mine, and at spool up it hits 10.0, and then leans out to 10.5 by redline. Im just wondering if it might be richer than 10.0. I know on decel it does "---", because it is leaner than it can read, but does it do the same when it goes richer than it can read?

Im guessing that the tune that I got was setup like this to be conservative with 91oct, but I didnt expect it to be THIS conservative! Id like to see at least 11.0 at redline, and a little leaner than that at spool-up. What do you guys think I should shoot for, w/ 91 oct?

On top of this its knocking, at least 3 counts and >100 load (cel knock light patch). My laptop wont run with the new version of Mitsulogger, and the old version wont log the AEM, so Ive been driving around @ 15 psi until I can get some good logs (with or without logging afr).

My plan is to back the timing off to get rid of the knock, then tune afr, then back to timing. But Im wondering if being too rich can cause knock. Can it?

Why does it seem like you're S.O.L. unless your asking how to VTA, or how to get XXXhp on the forums? Everytime I feel like I have a legitimate question, I get nothing. What good is this site, anyways? Seems like there's only a lucky few that gets help around these parts.

I know there are HUNDREDS of people on here that can tell me whether or not their AEM WB shows "--" when it sees an extremely rich condition.

Whoa whoa calm down! Patience often previals and lengthens your life span. My AEM Eugo pegs at 10.0. If I were to plug it into a computer it would probably read lower though. That's just what the guage pegs at.

the AEM EUGO bottoms out to 10.0 regarless of what it's hooked up to, If I remember correctly it tops out at 17.0

I use the innovate LM-1 and I've seen 9's and it'll go as lean as 20.9

I hear that myth about too much fuel causing knock all the time and I've never once seen it happen even with 9.0 AFR, if you're seeing knock, you better believe it's real.

Thanks guys.

Mellon,
Ive tried to search, but it does not include words like afr, or 91. What afr should I be looking for with 91 octane? For some reason, Ive got 11.5 tapering to 11.0 in my head, with lean spool disabled. Does that seem about right? And would eyeballing the gauge be sufficient for now, without afr logging capabilities?

there's no perfect answer, some tuners go richer with 91 octane.. like 11.2 all the way and others 11.5, it depends on boost/timing of course.

eyeballing is better than nothing and should get you in the ballpark for now
