Enginuity

Is anyone using this software? I did a search and I come up with nothing.

http://www.enginuity.org/

I only ask because I heard about them, checked out their site and it seems to have a more user friendly interface than ECU flash, it's also opensource and seems to appear to have more features and functionality...hmmmm...

This is what it reads on the front page of thier website:

"Enginuity is a free, open source tuning suite created for viewing, logging and tuning Engine Control Units. The intuitive tuning interface and powerful datalogger are modeled to be familiar to experienced professional tuners while providing all the power of expensive commercial products, without license fees. Extensible ECU definitions allow the support of ECUs from virtually any manufacturer. And our team of developers is constantly working on new features, ensuring you’ll always have the latest technology available"

I auto-x with the guy that wrote this app. It's basically a better ECUFlash for Subarus. It's handy because the Subaru ECU has many more defined variables than our Evos and he's added in descriptions for most all of them.

Mellon, is there a benefit to doing map modification in ECU Flash vs Enginuity? The enginuity interface is simple and scaled right for PSI etc. I use ECU Flash to read and write the map on the car but that's it.

nah, it's just what I'm most comfortable with. I might give Enginuity another try in the future though.
