wideband vs afr meter

wideband vs afr meter

If i just want to know if i'am leaning out would a afr meter be good enough instead of spending 275ish for a wideband?I have evoscan so i'am doing all my logs through that .

By AFR meter do you mean a gauge that runs on the stock narrow band sensor? A wideband will of course be the best way to go. The stock O2 sensor jumps in nearly .5 AFR increments and is barely useful as a tuning tool. If you are tuning, a wideband is essential.

The LC1 is under $200, it's a no brainer, if you self tune and you by nothing else for your car, buy a wide band.

Forget intakes, forget cams, forget BOVs, get a wideband !

I think i am leaning towards LC1.

I think your are leaning in the correct direction then ... Remember, you can always pair the LC-1 with the XD-16 gauge for a nifty package with flashing lights and such ...
