Hey i just put an injen intake and my car feels slower is it bec it has to be tuned

I have an xs fmic dc downpipe thermal r&d exhaust no cat with a turbosmart bov i removed the tsbov installed a good injen air intake comes with a loud bov a lot of piping thought it would feel alot stronger but it actually dropped my boost to 20 22 when before the upgrade i was hitting 25

 

so you did that for a loud blow off valve?bro u need to get tuned,your car is pulling timing and drooping boost i would not even drive it if i were you go get a tune.....and why are you running 25 psi with no tune

 

bro it wouldnt hit 25 untill i hit 3rd gearis that normal

 

i never upgraded boost its stock

 

not really if your not tuned for it....thas kind of high my man,you dont have a boost controler?

 

Thats how your stock boost control solenoid it reacting to not have any back pressure, 25 psi is way too much especially with no fuel pump. You should definitely get like a Forge MBC and set it to 20 psi till you get a tune.

 

no i dont i thought it was because of the big intercooler ts bov and the exhaust the tsbov i had before was very quit bec it realeased the air int the line i guess it spooled enough to push it to 25

 

not only that but i can smell the car is running rich like sort of feels like im in a race track smell gas pollution more than before with this intake wondering if tuning it will solve my problems and does it make sense tuning if i dont have cams or wlboro fuel pump

ya well with the cams and fuelpump you will defnitly get more power, but it makes sense because you are going to run pig rich and the car is going to stay slugish and it is not very safe you should call sean ivey or turbo trix he can tune your car and when u get cams and a pump then get a retune ...good luck bro,turbo trix is good but sean ivey is better,if u need is number let me know he is in jersey he tuned my car 390 to da wheel runs 11's all day...like u said just my opinion good luck

 

thanx alot brother around how much pump and cams do you know i knw the tune is 500

 

i got my pump for 90 and hks cams for 650 at the time might be cheaper i dont know check lancershop.com
ya the first flash is 500 but they will reflash you if u get more mods for a lot cheaper i think 250
and one more thing the car turns into a diffrent monster once you get tuned..once they get timing wright and your air fuel......
