no it doesn't..

..as long as we all run our tanks till they are empty then fill them with the same amount of fuel. 1 mans per tank could be say 13 1/2 gals and the next guy would take 11 1/2, the warning lights are different as are driving habits.

When I was stock I was getting around 200 city and 230 highway. after i put in my SAFCII and wideband and street tuned my car I was able to get a best of 300 highway and average of around 260 or so city.

Def tune helps because these cars run so damn rich out of the box

My average is 215 per tank and I almost never break that. Sometimes, very rarely I'll get 225 but that's it.I average 17 miles per gallon which sucks for a 4 cylinder. I even try to stay out of boost for a whole week but somrtimes my temptations till get the best of me and my mpg don't get any better. On all highway driving i'll go 300 miles before needing to refill.

If i PUSH my Evo IX, I can get 300 Miles per tank. That's about 21MPG, that's it folks. How do we get like 25MPG? I mean it is a 4 banger, and the car is kinda light and if we stay outa boost, why can't we get better milage?

Maybe someone should have their car tuned for economy rather then performance.

I have actually thought about getting in touch with mellon and having him tune my car for economy, just to see what the results would be.

I have a stock 9, I had a K&N drop filter in it, and the mileage dropped a bit, put the stock filter back in and the mileage went back up.

I get 26-27 mpg at 80mph on the highway. I've gotten over 300 miles on one tank of gas several times. My evo is a full 2.3 AMS built engine with the 35R kit. It has all the bells and whistles cams, race head etc. I was worried it would get about 20mpg but its been great. Around town is a different story seeing how I can't keep my foot out of it. Thanks AMS

It may not get the best gas mileage but seriously did you really buy it for good gas mileage.

I'm averaging about 200 per tank. Sucks. I was about 230 for a long time. I added a BR air filter kit (only performance mod) and not immediately but overtime it dropped to where it is currently.

Been seriously debating a reflash to see if it helps.
